徐钢生于1968年，是一位美国的教授和艺术策展人，曾担任伊利诺伊大学香槟分校东亚语言与文化系主任。他于2002年获得哥伦比亚大学博士学位，曾策划过大量中国当代艺术展。2012年，徐钢被授予“美国国家人文基金会会员资格”。他是一位活跃的策展人，著有许多关于中国艺术、电影和文学的书籍和文章。
Gary Xu (born 1968) is a professor and art curator based in the United States. He was Head of the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures University of Illinois , Urbana-Champaign. He earned a doctorate from Columbia University (2000) and has curated numerous exhibitions on contemporary Chinese art. He was awarded a US National Endowment of Humanities Fellowship in 2012. He is an active curator and author of numerous books and articles on Chinese art, film and literature.
