邱宇现居北京，从事媒体艺术的创作与研究。他毕业于中央美术学院设计学院数码媒体工作室，现于中央美术学院设计学院艺术与科技方向博士在读。他在创作中使用声音、影像、装置、表演等媒介结合新的科技手段，旨在探索科技媒介所蕴含的内在逻辑、语言关系，以及混合媒介影响下的生命感知形态。
邱宇曾参与的展览包含：2018 “机器之眼” 艺术项目（蔓空间，798艺术区，北京）；2016 “增生计划—城市天顶” 邱宇个展（闳约当代艺术中心，北京）；2016 “增生计划” 邱宇人工机体装置艺术展（NO！空间，北京）；2019 亚洲数字艺术展（北京）；2018 “后生命” 北京媒体艺术双年展（中央美院美术馆，北京）；2017 “约会” 来自中法的青年艺术（中央美院美术馆，北京）；2016 “全球中国” 当代艺术展（郑州，中国）；2016 “青年图语” 影像作品展 （法兰克福，德国）。
Qiu Yu is an artist working at the creation and research of media art. He graduated from the digital media studio of Central Academy of Fine Arts, and is now studying for a doctorate in art and technology in CAFA. His practice contains mixed media such as sound, video, installation and performance with cutting-edge technology to investigate the language relations of the inherent logic implied in technological media and the life perception under the influence of mixed media.
His work has been shown in many exhibitions, including 2018 “Mechanical eye” art project, Man space, Beijing, China; 2011 “hyperplasia plan” Qiu Yu Artificial Organism Art Exhibition, NO!
